Birdie is the Whippet that started it all. Dawn's first Whippet - she fell in love with Birdie at a dog show to learn that she was available! Birdie came to our home just a few weeks later. Birdie finished her championship at the prestigious Waukesha Kennel Club Shows in August 1999, handled by her breeder and co-owner, Debbie Davenport. Several weeks later, Birdie began her coursing career and finished her field championship in ASFA that fall. In 2001, Birdie won the Patrick Pettit award at an ASFA trial for being the highest scoring Whippet Field Champion and Bench Champion.

Birdie was bred once and produced her litter in April 2002. Out of that litter is a champion, several field champions, and several beloved pets. Birdie is spayed and still runs around the yard and house keeping everyone in line! We tease her that she often goes into "Birdie" world....
Capri is our brindle bullet. She has outstanding structure and flawless movement, but hated to show. We took Capri to a specialty and once she was ringside and realized what was going on, she backed up as far away from us as possible and literally squinted her eyes at us. Even hating to show (and trying to find all the crumbs on the floor when moving), she finished with three majors.

On the coursing field is where Capri has been the superstar. Capri won the honor to run for the Gilette Cup at the 2003 ASFA II by being the highest scoring Whippet Field Champion and Bench Champion. She is pointed towards her AKC Field Championship and finished her Lure Courser of Merit title in 2007 after resting a dislocated back toe for almost 2 years. She is the easiest dog to live with in the world. Capri never produced a litter and was spayed in the fall of 2007.
Earl is our first home-bred champion. He finished at the International Kennel Club Shows in February 2007 under respected hound breeder/judge, Pat Murphy. Earl has a temperament of gold - gregariously outgoing and thinks life is a party for him. Earl wants to lure course really badly -  he is even certified in ASFA! He jumps up and down and barks at the lure like a fool. He runs about 2/3 of the course and then runs back to us to check in. If we praise him, he will run back out and finish the course.

He loves to do agility and is pretty good at obedience too. He is best at being our buddy and bringing a big smile to our faces every day. Earl has quite a fan club and the Whippet community was so supportive of our efforts with finishing him!

Thanks to Earl's co-breeder and co-owner, Debbie Davenport, for handling him to his major wins!!
Here is our newest superstar - Mr. Bill.... like the SNL character from years ago, we find ourselves often saying "Oh No, Mr. Bill"  :)

Bill is from one of our favorite Whippets, Millie's last litter. Millie has a special place in our hearts as she was almost ours when she was a puppy. After seeing the quality of the dogs from her first two litters, we knew that we had to have a Millie pup. We originally wanted a fawn & white girl but as you see, Bill is a red & white boy!  :)  With 7 boys and 1 girl in the litter and the girl decided that she'd rather stay on the small side, Debbie was kind and let us take whatever pup we wanted.

Bill was special (and still is) to Debbie so for her to share him with us, we know we are pretty special. Bill has his dad's good looks and his mother's personality (and mouth!!). We are very excited about Bill's future.......
